Manor ISD Receives Superior Rating in Texas Financial Integrity Rating System

Manor ISD received a 92 rating in the Texas Education Agency’s School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas for the 2018-19 school year.

The FIRST rating solidifies that Manor ISD is held accountable for the quality of financial management practices and that any areas to improve practices were made. The system was created to encourage Texas public schools to better manage financial resources to provide the greatest allocation possible for direct instructional use.

“Manor ISD is one of the fastest-growing areas around Austin, and we need to make sure we provide the best educational experience for our students through financial resources,” said Dr. Royce Avery, Manor ISD Superintendent. “We take great pride in being excellent stewards of taxpayer funds, and this TEA rating is another example of the district’s commitment to students, staff and the community.”

Districts were required to submit annual financial reports and data, which were then reviewed by an external auditor for compliance using various indicators. More information on the FIRST rating can be found on the TEA website.
