MNTHS Cross Country Runners Qualify for Regional, State Competitions

Manor New Tech High School Athletics accomplished a new personal best in cross country!

Two Titan Cross Country runners recently qualified for the regional meet, and one will be representing Manor in the state cross country championship! 11th Grader Victory Ifah ran i the Region 3A meet and finished 6th with a personal record of 12:31 in the 3,200 m race. She is the first Lady Titan athlete to represent MNTHS at the state level.

"It is unreal," Ifah said. "I always thought Cross Country was a way for me to get ready for track and field. I never thought of making it to regionals or state until now."

Junior Kevin Frias also ran and competed in the 5,000 m race. He is the first Titan men's athlete to compete on a regional level.

"It is great to know that I set in stone the first in New Tech athletics history to make it to Regionals," Frias said. 

The teams are coached by Adetayo Adeboyejo and Irmalyn Falcon. The state competition will be Nov. 9 at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock.
