MISD Board of Trustees Participate in TASB Training
Manor ISD's Board of Trustees participated in a Team of Eight Training on Wednesday, October 2 with the Texas Association of School Boards.
The training focused on developing areas that are needed to build a successful board. TASB Consultant Kay Douglas asked each board member several questions regarding their own experiences with educators, the strengths and weaknesses of the district, as well as the board. Members also discussed how the Superintendent can help, and how the board as one can impact the district and their community.
Additionally, the training itself was meant to serve as an opportunity for the board to discuss their thoughts and opinions on trustee to trustee relationships and trustee to superintendent relationships. The team is focused on goals that will help the district grow and impact student learning, which will help keep them united under one vision for the betterment of student education.
