MISD Hires Principals for PMES, MMS and Pre-K Center
The Manor ISD Board of Trustees approved the hire of principals at three schools at the regularly scheduled June meeting.
Crystal Brown was named the Principal of the Manor Elementary Early Learning Center. Brown has 12 years of education experience and was most recently the Program Director at the Frank Dobie Pre-K Center in Austin. Prior to that, she was also an Assistant Principal at Andrews Elementary in Austin. Brown also spent time as an Early Childhood Literacy Specialist, a Bilingual Instructional Coach, and a teacher. Brown earned her Masters of Education from the University of Texas and her B.S. in Education from UT.
Laura Krcmar was hired as the new Principal of Presidential Meadows Elementary. She returns to Manor after spending three years as the Principal of Red Rock Elementary in Bastrop. Previously, she was an Assistant Principal at Manor Elementary and Presidential Meadows Elementary. She has also been an Academic Dean for Breakthrough and a teacher at PME. Krcmar received her Masters of Education in Administration and Principal Certification from Concordia University and her B.A. in English, Finance, Cultural Studies and Political Science from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Marcus Jones was named the Principal at Manor Middle School. Jones has been with MISD since 2014; most recently as an Assistant Principal at Manor High School. He was also the Principal at MISD's Alternative Education Program. Before coming to MISD, Dr. Jones spent time as a Principal, Assistant Principal, and Special Education Teacher at various districts around Austin and Houston. Dr. Jones earned his Doctorate in Public School Administration from Texas A&M, his Master's in Eduactional Administration from Prairie View A&M, and a Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration from Texas Southern University.
