On August 21, 2023, the Manor ISD Board of Trustees proudly approved and welcomed Ms. Maritza Gallaga to our Manor ISD family as the new Executive Director of Communications.

Ms. Gallaga comes to Manor ISD with over a decade of experience in school communications, particularly in crisis communication management, internal and external communications, media relations, marketing, and public relations. She is currently serving as Interim Chief of Public Affairs and Communications in Round Rock ISD. Before her Interim Chief role, Ms. Gallaga served as the Associate Director of Communications since 2016 in Round Rock ISD and a Marketing Coordinator, Writer, and Videographer with Harlingen ISD's Public Relations/Community Engagement Department. Ms. Gallaga holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Advertising and a Minor in Computer Graphics from The University of Texas Pan-American - Edinburg, TX, and a Master's Degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin.

We look forward to Ms. Gallaga's expertise and knowledge alongside the Manor ISD communications team as we continue to move our communication initiatives forward. She is expected to start the Executive Director role in September.

She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, thrifting, record collecting, baking, and making oddly specific Spotify lists in her spare time.
