Groundbreaking Marks Start of MISD’s $350,000 Track and Field Addition 

 

Manor ISD Board President: Monique Celedon, Trustees: Johnny Velasco and Sam Samaripa, Superintendent of Schools: Dr. Andre D. Spencer, Chief of Operations: Joe Mendez, Director of Bond and Construction: Ryan Marcum, Manor Senior High School Principal: Jessika Hearne, and representatives from Hellas Construction gathered at the construction site of Manor Senior High School’s new Track and Field addition on Monday, November 8th. 

 

The Manor Athletic Complex (MAC) was built in 2007 and is equipped with state-of-the-art Matrix H turf and GeoCool Fill track.

 

The groundbreaking marks the start of Manor ISD’s $350,000 project that will reconstruct long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, and shot put pits at the MAC. The construction plan also includes a sunshade to provide relief to athletes and spectators from the hot Texas sun. Additionally, this project will include a resurfacing of the current track. 

  

The Track and Field addition to the Manor Athletic Complex (MAC) is expected to be completed in March of 2022.

Inicio de Construcción Marca el Inicio del Proyecto de la Adición de la Pisto y Campo de Atletismo de $350,000 de MISD

 

Presidente de la Junta de Manor ISD: Monique Celedon, Fideicomisarios: Johnny Velasco y Sam Samaripa, Superintendente de Escuelas: Dr. Andre D. Spencer, Jefe de Operaciones: Joe Mendez, Director de Bonos y Construcción: Ryan Marcum, Directora de Manor Senior High School: Jessika Hearne y representantes de Hellas Construction se reunieron en el sitio de construcción de la nueva adición de pista y campo de Manor Senior High School el lunes 8 de noviembre.

 

El Manor Athletic Complex (MAC) fue construido en 2007 y está equipado con césped Matrix H de última generación y pista GeoCool Fill.

 

El comienzo con la palada inicial marca el inicio del proyecto de $350,000 de Manor ISD que reconstruirá los pozos de salto de longitud, triple salto, salto de altura, salto con pértiga, disco y lanzamiento de peso en el MAC. El plan de construcción también incluye una sombrilla para brindar alivio a los atletas y espectadores del ardiente sol de Texas. Además, este proyecto incluirá una repavimentación de la pista actual.

 

Se espera que la adición de pista y campo al Manor Athletic Complex (MAC) se complete en marzo de 2022.
