Welcome Back From Dr. Spencer
Greetings Manor ISD Community,
It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I welcome our scholars, staff, and community back to another school year. I hope that your summer was spent creating memories, gaining new experiences and exploring the world of possibilities. Most importantly, I hope you had fun and you’re ready to re-engage with your Manor Independent School District (ISD) family.
As we continue to put our scholars' interests and future first, we have adopted a theme that will help shape and guide our leadership decisions, teaching strategies and vision for the future. This year, we will “Inspire, Innovate and Include.”
We will Inspire our scholars by creating an encouraging and engaging learning environment that awakens their passion and thirst for knowledge. Inspiration was truly evident this past school year when scholars across our district received multiple accolades; State and National Recognition in fine arts, athletics and academics. I was also truly inspired by the countless hours, dedication and kind moments observed by our educators, campus leaders, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, ground keepers and custodial staff to name a few. It is because of our staff that our scholars can call Manor ISD a second home.
As a District of Innovation, we are continuing to expand our academic choice programs. Scholars have the option of graduating from Manor ISD with an associate degree, industry certification from more than 30 career fields and/or prepared for their military pursuits. At Manor ISD, if scholars can dream it, we have the tools, resources and programs for them to achieve it!
Manor ISD is home to scholars and staff of various languages, cultures, backgrounds and beliefs. We embrace the spirit of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. In Manor ISD, our scholars not only feel included but are included in every choice.
As your superintendent, it gives me great pleasure to know that our schools are safe. We are prepared and ready to welcome all 10,000 scholars, over 1400 staff and our community back to school. I look forward to a great 2022-23 school year!
