MEELC Multilingual Rookie of the Year

After working as an assistant for a couple of years in a bilingual classroom, I knew that I wanted to teach! From the first moment I walked into Manor Elementary Early Learning Center and met the director, I knew I found what I was looking for. A great leader, and a very impressive early learning center. This is where I wanted to begin my career as a bilingual teacher.

Once I began working with my team at Manor Elementary, I knew I had made the right decision. I work with an amazing team of teachers that have taught me so much. They are not just my co-workers, they are my mentors and my family. It is because of them and the entire staff that I had a successful first year as a pre kindergarten teacher.

It is such an honor to be named by my colleagues as Rookie Multilingual Teacher of the Year. I look forward to many more years to come.
