    Manor ISD is pleased to announce that the Manor Elementary Early Learning Center is now a Ready Set Grow! campus! On December 1st, 2021, Principal Crystal Brown will be hosting a virtual parent kickoff event to inform the community on how our scholars will benefit from this game-changing, early childhood education program!

  • Titan Regiment Makes Their Mark in History

    Under the direction of senior drum major Saul Flores and junior drum major William Webb, the Titan Regiment has been famed as the first band in MNTHS history to receive a sweepstake of Division 1 Superior ratings with their performance titled “6 Feet...Together” at the Region 18 UIL District Competition!

  • Hispanic Heritage Highlight: Martha Cuellar

    Breakfast tacos, enchiladas, and the infamous Dia De Los Nachos (Day of the Nachos) are some of the most popular dishes served on Thursdays at Manor New Tech High School's cafeteria. Flavorful, mouth-watering, and savory are a few of the words used to describe “Mexican Food Thursday.” The excitement builds as the cafeteria staff works their magic to assemble a pile of nachos drenched in cheese with a side of homemade salsa. As you approach the register, you are greeted by Martha Cuellar and her infectious smile.

  • Hispanic Heritage Highlight: Velma Aleman

    Walking into a first-grade classroom, you may not be sure what to expect. Velma Aleman’s 1st-grade classroom at Presidential Meadows Elementary is bursting with color and excited chatter from young scholars. The scholars are seated 3 to a table in a circle formation around the room and each table of scholars shares a book. As Aleman diligently makes her way around the room, she speaks to the scholars mostly in Spanish but incorporates some English keywords for the dual language scholars.

    Great educators are always willing to go above and beyond for their scholars and Manor ISD’s Bilingual Coordinator, Dora Rodriguez does exactly that. Although her current position does not involve classroom instruction, Rodriguez stepped up to provide help to MISD’s Virtual Learning scholars.

    Manor ISD’s Dual Language Coordinator, Hazel Martinez spends all year-long planning and preparing for Hispanic Heritage Month. If you ever experienced MISD’s Hispanic Heritage Month Festival then you probably felt the enthusiasm and pride. Martinez’s passion and love for celebrating Hispanic culture through our scholar’s achievements is apparent to anyone around her.

    We all know that being a Bus Driver is no easy task. A Bus Driver's main responsibility is to safely transport our scholars, but if you know Juan “Tony” Barrios, his job extends far beyond that. Chances are, if Mr. Tony is your bus driver, you will be greeted with an infectious smile and cheerful attitude that can set anyone’s day in the right direction.

  • Hispanic Heritage Highlight: Esther Uresti

    While most of us are slowly beginning our days in the early hours of 6 AM, Esther Uresti, better known as “Mrs. Esther” is dancing through her custodial duties at Manor ISD’s Central Administration Building. Her music of choice is Regional Mexican! A variety of songs can be heard while she greets arriving staff with a smile on her face.

  • HB4545: Informational Webinar to Learn How This Bill Affects Your Scholar

    On June 16, 2021, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 4545 (HB4545) during the 87th Legislative Session. This law required school districts to provide additional accelerated instruction for scholars who did not take or “did not meet grade level” on the STAAR or STAAR end-of-course assessment in Spring 2021.

  • Manor ISD Wins 2021 TAEA District of Distinction Award

    Manor ISD — Sept. 3, the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) announced the 40 winners of the 2021 District of Distinction Award. Among the list of honorees is Manor ISD. The districts received the honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social-emotional learning that connects learners to their community and beyond.

  • Local 7-Eleven Donates $711 to MISD Elementary School

    Rapidly growing Manor, Texas has welcomed a new convenience store located at the corner of Highway 290 and Lexington Street. The worldwide brand, 7-Eleven, opened their doors to the Manor community on Friday, September 3rd, and rewarded MISD’s Lagos Elementary School with a $711 donation. Lagos Elementary School Principal Malaki Hawkins and Chief of Schools Michael Perkins accepted the donation on the district’s behalf.

  • Manor ISD mourns the loss of staff member, Amy Rodriguez.

    Manor ISD Family Shares the Loss of Ms. Amy "Coach" Rodriguez. Ms. Rodriguez was very well-known across our district and community. She began with us in 2000. She served scholars and families at Manor Elementary, Oak Meadows Elementary, Manor Middle School, Presidential Meadows Elementary and last at Bluebonnet Trail Elementary.
