    STAAR / EOC Test Scores

    (June 8, 2022) - Parents/Guardians can view test scores for the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR): grades 3 through 8 on July 1, 2022 and End of Course exams (EOC): grades 9 through 12 on June 16, 2022.     Manor ISD Announces New Head Basketball Coach

    (June 27, 2022) - Manor ISD proudly announces John A. Smith as the new Manor High School/Manor Senior High School head basketball coach. Smith was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from Northwestern State University. Smith has coached three levels of basketball including, NCAA Division I, High School, and Texas Grassroots Basketball. Smith is the former head basketball coach at Austin Northeast High School and brings a wealth of experience to our district.

    Board Approved 2022-2023 Academic Calendar

    On April 5, 2022, the Manor ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2022-23 Academic Calendar. The new calendar will allow for Manor ISD to receive additional funding to provide enriched learning opportunities and accelerated instruction that addresses summer loss for our scholars. This funding is a part of the Additional Days School Year (ADSY) program.  The district is working on options to provide food and child care services for non-instructional weekdays. We are also seeking partnerships for after-school programs. More information will be provided as additional services are made available.

    Manor ISD scholars were awarded more than $6 million in college scholarships during the 2022 Scholarships and Awards Ceremony on May 10th. “The Board of Trustees, myself, and the entire administrative cabinet are tremendously proud of the hard work of our graduating scholars,” said Superintendent Dr. Andre D.     (June 7, 2022) - Manor ISD Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring that our educators are the highest-paid employees in Central Texas. To honor that commitment and reward employees for their dedication, on Monday, June 6, the Trustees approved a 6% raise for Teachers/Non-Exempt employees and a 2% for Professional Exempt employees.

    Manor ISD is embarking upon two very exciting program initiatives to build teacher capacity and create highly qualified teachers from within our organization. Beginning May 18th, Manor ISD has partnered with Texas State University to establish the Grow Your Own program. This program has recruited many current Manor ISD employees and will be supporting them in completing both a bachelor's degree and teacher certification in the areas of Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and English as a Second Language Education.     The district is exploring providing an across-the-board, all-employee cost of living pay increase of between 2 and 5 percent.     Manor ISD is proud to announce that Coach Anthony Swain will now serve as the district's sole Athletic Director. This transition will allow for an enhanced focus on all 78 sports programs offered district-wide. “At Manor ISD, we strive for excellence in academics, fine arts and athletics as we prepare our scholars to reach their full potential,” said Dr. Andre D.     Pioneer Crossing Teacher Nominated for Prestigious Presidential Award

    Nicole "Niki" Davis, a sixth-grade teacher at Pioneer Crossing Elementary School (PCE), has been nominated for the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). Consideration for this achievement requires more than 100 hours of work, including submitting lesson plans, videos, reflections, and feedback. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th-grade science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teacher may receive.

    Manor ISD's Child Development Center (CDC) is on the Move!

    We have exciting news to share! Manor ISD's Child Development Center (CDC) is on the move. Beginning this Summer 2022, the CDC will be co-located with the Manor Elementary Early Learning Center (MEELC).  This move is part of Manor ISD's journey to graduation.  At Manor, learning begins from birth. The co-location of CDC with MEELC will offer our youngest scholars the opportunity to learn from their older peers, share resources, and create a seamless transition from development to an instructional environment.

    MISD Breaks Ground on $35.5 Million Early College High School Campus

    A groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction for Manor Independent School District’s new Early College High School on Thursday, March 10. The future site will include 85,000 square feet of a collegiate atmosphere that will accommodate 800 existing and future scholars. The site's open concept will welcome scholars in fall 2023 and will provide the educational experience seen on college campuses, featuring a commons area, coffee shop, and a buffet-style café.

    MISD Middle School Bands Win UIL Sweepstakes

    During the first week of March 2022, all Manor ISD middle school bands entered the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation. Bands are judged on three diverse, prepared pieces of music and one piece of music that directors and scholars have never seen before. Scholars and directors receive feedback and ratings from three judges in both categories.

    The Thompson Executive Leadership Institute in Austin has announced that Dr. Andre D. Spencer, Superintendent of Manor ISD, is the recipient of an academic scholarship to attend their 28th annual Superintendent Academy. The Academy is jointly sponsored by the Thompson Executive Leadership Institute (TELI) and Region 13 Education Service Center in Austin. The TELI Superintendent Academy is a nationally known advanced leadership development program for school superintendents from Texas and surrounding states.
