  • MECHS Scholar Featured On NPR Podcast

    Manor, TX (April 15, 2021) - Manor Early College High School ninth grade scholar, Johnique “J.T.” Thomas was featured during a recent NPR podcast interview titled “As the End of the Pandemic Becomes Real, Here’s What People are Dreaming About.” The podcast featured seven people from across the country with ages ranging from 15 to 65 years old – J.T. being the youngest.

  • Class of 2021: Graduation Announcement

    Manor, TX (April 2, 2021) - Manor ISD will host an in-person graduation, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Shoreline Church located at 15201 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78728. All seniors in Manor ISD will have the opportunity to participate in the 2021 Commencement Exercises. Each scholar will receive a limited number of guest tickets to attend the graduation ceremony. All Graduations will be live-streamed to allow scholar’s friends, family, and the Manor ISD community to watch the Class of 2021 graduate.

  • Manor High School One-Act Play Advances to Bi-District Competition For The First Time Since 2009

    Manor, TX (April 1, 2021) - The cast of Manor High School’s (MHS) One Act Play, Small Mouth Sounds by Bess Whol competed in the University Interscholastic League’s (UIL) One-Act Play District level competition on March 12th and achieved five individual awards. The team then advanced on to the Bi-District level competition on March 25th and earned four individual awards.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes Coach of the Year Award

    Manor, TX (April 1, 2021) - Brian Marshall's coaching career spans the past 14 years and stands out to his student-athletes the most through his work with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been a priority for Marshall to keep his student-athletes involved in FCA. Coach Marshall continued to host virtual meetings and participation in the FCA program grew even in spite of a number of issues faced during this year. His efforts to keep the meetings scheduled and student-athletes engaged are only a few reasons why Coach Marshall was selected for the FCA Coach of the Year Award.

It is extremely critical that your child completes the online reading, listening, and speaking components of this assessment to properly evaluate the progress your child has made in acquiring the English language.   • ConectaDos: Literacy Workshops for Spanish-Speaking Parents of English Learners in Pre-K through Second Grade

    Manor, TX (March 30, 2021) - ¡Corran la Voz! ”ConectaDos" is a series of literacy workshops. The goal of these workshops is to provide parents with essential tools, resources, and skills to support their children's learning at home by actively engaging parents of bilingual students in grades PK-2 in a workshop offered fully in Spanish that will focus on the foundations of literacy and the development of bilingual reading.

  • The Ride to School Is Getting Safer; Manor ISD Purchases New School Buses

    Manor, TX (March 30, 2021) - Manor ISD continues to prioritize safety by investing in the district's bus fleet. This means replacing or purchasing new school buses with healthier, safer buses. The 2019 Bond allotted $3.5 million for the purchase of new buses to provide Manor ISD scholars with top-of-the-line safety resources. In the 20-21 school year, Manor ISD has purchased ten new school buses.

  • MNTHS Senior Achieves First Runner Up at UIL State Film Competition

    Manor, TX (March 24, 2021) - This year, as a senior, Jazmine Leyva-Coronado’s digital animated film “The Eggtordinary Heist'' claimed the first runner-up spot at the State level competition. The Heist tells the story of a dragon egg mistakenly taken for a gemstone and stolen from its mother. A cunning thief is hired to steal the egg back but little does he know that he’d be facing his biggest heist by far; infiltrating the Kingdom’s Castle.

  • Female Powerlifter Set Personal Record at Regional Competition

    Manor, TX (March 12, 2021) - Despite the turbulent times Manor ISD scholars have had to face over the last year, scholars are pushing through and achieving their goals. At the Regional Powerlifting meet on March 6th, Manor Early College High School 11th grader Angelica Portillo managed to score a personal record on the deadlift, maxing out her total weight lifted at 340 pounds earning 3rd place.

  • 2021 Summer Youth Employment Program

    The 2021 Summer Youth Employment Program has officially launched! Check out their website for information on obtaining an application and participating in the program. All job readiness training must be completed and applications received no later than March 27, 2021. SYEP strongly recommends completing the full application process as early as possible before the deadlines to increase youths’ opportunities for employment.

  • New Coronavirus Case Reported in Manor ISD

    MANOR, TX (March 5, 2021)— Today the Manor ISD School Health Services Department and administrators in Manor ISD were notified of a staff member at Blake Manor Elementary School who has tested positive for Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. As precautionary measures, we are following the recommendation from our local health officials. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the names of the individuals or details that may identify them.
