Manor ISD has named Sundal Ali as the district’s new Executive Director of Human Resources. With nearly a decade of experience in education and nonprofit leadership, Ali brings a deep understanding of employee engagement, organizational transformation, and equity-driven practices to the role.

Ali most recently served as the Director of Organizational Transformation at Austin ISD, where she led district-wide initiatives focused on staffing, recruitment, retention, and leadership development. In this role, she managed professional development efforts impacting more than 1,200 staff members across 35 campuses and advised senior leaders on key decisions related to budget, hiring, and organizational culture.

“I am excited to join Manor ISD and serve a vibrant community that is deeply committed to student success,” said Ali. “I look forward to working alongside this incredible team to support our dedicated educators and staff who center students every day and cultivate a culture where everyone can learn and thrive.”

Before becoming director, Ali worked as Austin ISD’s Community Equity and Inclusiveness Coordinator, where she supported the district’s five-year equity capacity building plan and helped facilitate stakeholder engagement for the passage of a $2.44 billion bond.

Her career began in the nonprofit sector, where she led youth programming and crisis intervention services for vulnerable students and families. As a Youth Program Manager at New Friends New Life, she oversaw the creation of a Youth Resource Center and managed grant funding totaling $1.5 million. Earlier in her career, she served as a Prevention Educator at The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center, providing education and training on harassment and assault prevention across K-12 and college campuses.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Sustainability Studies from The George Washington University.
