Robert Alfaro Named New Principal of Oak Meadows Elementary School

Manor ISD has named Robert Alfaro as the new principal of Oak Meadows Elementary School.

Alfaro brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and school leadership to Manor ISD. Throughout his career, he has focused on improving student achievement, strengthening school culture, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

Most recently, Alfaro served as assistant principal at Elma Neal Elementary in San Antonio ISD, where he helped lead the campus through significant academic growth. During his time there, the school improved from an “F” accountability rating to a “C” rating in the 2024-2025 school year. He also supported teachers through coaching, professional learning communities, and instructional feedback.

Before serving at Elma Neal Elementary, Alfaro held leadership roles at both the middle and high school levels in San Antonio ISD. His experience includes helping campuses improve academic performance, leading instructional initiatives, overseeing campus operations, and supporting positive school culture and student success.

Alfaro began his career in education as a teacher and coach, where he earned recognition for strong academic results and leadership. He holds a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Texas A&M University San Antonio and an EC-12 Principal Certification.
