Moises Santiago Named Manor ISD’s New Chief Financial Officer

Moises Santiago has been named Manor ISD's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Santiago brings a wealth of experience in managing financial operations within educational institutions and municipalities, and his expertise will be instrumental in guiding Manor ISD's financial strategies and operations.

Santiago joins Manor ISD from Wimberley ISD, where he has served as the Chief Finance Officer since May 2019. During his tenure, he managed the district's financial affairs, oversaw a $44 million operating budget, and conducted budget workshops and tax public hearings. His responsibilities included calculating property tax rates, performing student enrollment and staff needs projections, maintaining the district's investment portfolio, and conducting cash flow analysis.

Before his role at Wimberley ISD, Santiago held the position of Chief Finance Officer at Uvalde CISD from December 2014 to January 2019. There, he managed a $46 million operating budget, evaluated and audited accounting procedures, and assisted with annual financial audits. His experience also includes serving as Business Manager at La Pryor ISD and Director of Finance for the City of Crystal City.

Santiago holds several professional certifications, including the SFO (Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations) and TASBO RTSBA (Registered Texas School Business Administrator). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Sul Ross State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Texas Junior College.
