MISD High Schoolers Unite to "Lead with Heart" Through Annual Adopt-A-Kid Initiative

MANOR, TX – This holiday season, the spirit of giving took center stage across Manor ISD as students and staff from Manor High School, Manor New Tech High School, and Manor Excel Academy came together for the annual Adopt-A-Kid initiative. The collaborative effort successfully provided personalized holiday gifts for children, proving that the impact of Manor’s scholars extends far beyond the classroom.

The Adopt-A-Kid program has become a cherished tradition within the district, but this year’s participation highlighted the beautiful level of unity between the three campuses. Students didn't just donate; they took an active leadership role in the entire process—from sponsoring individual children and fundraising to shopping for meaningful presents and hand-gifting them.

The initiative emphasizes teamwork and civic responsibility, teaching students the value of giving back to their community. For many participants, the highlight of the season was the gifting process, where they were able to witness firsthand the joy and smiles their hearts brought to the children's faces.
