Manor ISD Names Toby Chiz Principal of Manor Rise Academy
Manor ISD has named veteran educator Toby Chiz as the new principal of Manor Rise Academy. With more than 25 years of experience in public education, Chiz brings extensive leadership experience in instructional excellence, campus operations, staff development and student success across multiple Texas school districts.
Previously, Chiz served as principal of Cottonwood Creek Elementary in Hutto ISD, where she led campus instructional programs, staff development and daily operations while guiding professional learning communities, supporting teacher growth and strengthening partnerships with families. Prior to that, Chiz served as assistant principal at Veterans' Hill Elementary, where she oversaw instructional programs, campus safety, student support systems and multilingual learner services.
Throughout her career, Chiz has served in leadership roles at the elementary, middle and high school levels, including assistant principal positions at Meridian World School, Stony Point High School, McNeil High School and Georgetown High School. She also served as principal of Hutto ISD's ADSY Summer Stampede and Elementary Summer School programs, leading large-scale instructional initiatives that served hundreds of students. Her experience includes instructional coaching, teacher evaluation, curriculum implementation, campus improvement planning and developing systems that support student achievement.

Chiz earned an Education Specialist degree in K-12 Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement from Florida International University.
