Manor ISD Names Dinorah De La Torre as Director of Multilingual Services

Manor ISD announced Dinorah De La Torre as its new Director of Multilingual Services, a role that will strengthen support for emergent bilingual students and multilingual families across the district.
In this position, De La Torre will lead and coordinate all bilingual and ESL services for Manor ISD, working closely with campuses from Pre-K through 12th grade to ensure students feel a sense of belonging while receiving high-quality, rigorous instruction. Her work will focus on strengthening bilingual and dual-language programs, supporting teachers with professional learning and instructional resources, and ensuring that families are engaged, informed, and connected to their schools.
De La Torre brings more than a decade of experience in bilingual education and campus leadership. She most recently served as principal at Dorinda J. Pillow Elementary School in Austin ISD, where she focused on building teacher capacity, aligning instruction, and fostering strong partnerships with families and the surrounding community. Her background also includes serving as an assistant principal, instructional specialist, instructional coach, and bilingual classroom teacher, giving her a deep understanding of both classroom instruction and district-level systems

De La Torre holds a bachelor’s degree in bilingual education from The University of Texas at Austin and is certified as an EC–12 principal and bilingual educator
