Manor ISD Named TAEA District of Distinction For Visual Arts for Six Consecutive Years

The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) announced that Manor ISD has been named a 2024 District of Distinction for its visual arts program. This is the district’s sixth consecutive year of earning the award, which only 15 other school districts have achieved, placing Manor ISD’s visual arts program in the top 1.3% in Texas.

For the 2024 award, more than 1,000 districts were eligible to apply. Each district submitted support and evidence they met from the 14-point rubric over the previous school year. Manor ISD is one of 94 winners this year. 

“Manor ISD has set a high standard for visual arts advocacy, integrated visual arts curriculum, encouraged creativity, community participation, and student growth,” said Nealy Holley, Chair of the Visual Art Administrators of Texas. “It is a true testament to your visual art educators’ skill, dedication, and flexibility that the quality of their programs continued to provide strong and comprehensive visual art educational experiences to students.”

All 94 districts will be honored at the TAEA Conference in November 2024.
