Manor ISD is proud to announce the expansion of after-school and summer programming services to all campuses through funding provided by Travis County’s voter-approved Child Care and Out-of-School Time (OST) Special Revenue Fund. This investment, combined with Manor ISD’s ongoing partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of the Austin Area (BGCAA), will ensure that families across the district have access to high-quality, affordable afterschool and summer care options.

"These partnerships allow us to meet one of the greatest needs in our community: reliable, high-quality child care,” Superintendent Dr. Sormani said. “By expanding after-school and summer programming, we are ensuring that our parents have the support they need, and our students have access to safe, enriching environments that set them up for future success. We are deeply grateful to Travis County and the Boys & Girls Clubs for helping us make this vision a reality for all Manor ISD families."

The Child Care and OST Fund was created following overwhelming voter approval in Travis County to address the urgent need for reliable child care and after-school programming. The fund prioritizes working families, supporting programs that give children safe, enriching, and accessible opportunities beyond the regular school day and during summer months.

“Investing in childcare benefits our kids, their families, and this entire community," said Travis County Judge Andy Brown. "With this funding, an additional 1,500 Manor ISD students will have access to quality afterschool and summer programming, setting them up for success in school, career, and life. We're grateful to Manor ISD for their partnership as we begin to roll out our Travis County childcare program."

Currently, thanks to Manor ISD’s partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, after-school and summer programming is available at:

  • Blake Manor Elementary
  • Decker Elementary
  • Oak Meadows Elementary
  • Bluebonnet Trail Elementary
  • Lagos Elementary
  • Pioneer Crossing Elementary
  • Presidential Meadows Elementary
  • ShadowGlen Elementary

The remaining campuses are scheduled to receive programming later this spring. Once opening dates are finalized, Manor ISD will share details with families on how to enroll and take advantage of these services.
