Adriana Gloria Named Principal of Lagos Elementary School

Manor ISD has named Adriana Gloria as the new principal of Lagos Elementary School, bringing more than a decade of experience in education and a deep connection to the Manor community.

Gloria began her career in education 11 years ago with Manor ISD, inspired by a desire to give back to the community she has proudly called home for more than 21 years. Throughout her time in the district, she has served in a variety of roles, including bilingual teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while remaining focused on student achievement and growth.

Most recently, Gloria served as Assistant Principal at Manor New Tech Middle School, where she helped lead campus improvement efforts, supported professional learning communities, coordinated student support systems, and worked alongside teachers and families to improve student outcomes.

Prior to her work at the secondary level, Gloria served as an Instructional Coach at Presidential Meadows Elementary, where she coached teachers, facilitated professional learning, and supported instructional planning. She also spent several years as a bilingual educator at Blake Manor Elementary and Decker Elementary, experiences that helped shape her commitment to ensuring every student receives a high-quality education and the support they need to succeed.

"I am honored to continue serving the Manor ISD community and strengthening the partnerships that are essential to student success," Gloria said. "I believe strong relationships among families, staff, students, and the community are the foundation of a thriving school. As both a parent and educator in Manor ISD, I am deeply committed to ensuring every scholar has access to the support, opportunities, and high-quality education they need to reach their full potential."

Gloria earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State University and holds an EC-12 Principal Certification. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her dedication to students, including being named Teacher of the Year in 2018.
