Learn About Our Schools of Choice

Manor ISD is pleased to announce that we will offer Schools of Choice for the 2024-2025 school year. The Schools of Choice application will open on November 8, 2023, and will close at 11:59 PM on Jan. 12, 2024. The application is for new scholars to the campus/programs.

Current students do not need to reapply to their currently accepted Schools of Choice campus.

For the 2024-2025 school year, scholars may choose to attend the following Schools of Choice based on spots available: 

  • Manor Rise Academy (MRA): Technology Prep (TECH Prep) Spots Available: 

      • Kinder - 88

      • 1st - 34

      • 2nd - 59

      • 3rd - 60

      • 6th - 100

      • 7th - 15

  • Manor New Tech Middle School (MNTMS): Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Spots Available: 

      • 6th - 250

      • 7th - 7

      • 8th - 15

  • Manor Early Career Connections Academy (MEECA) at Manor High School Spots Available: 

      • Associate of Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing P-Tech 30 (9th grade)

      • Associate of Arts in Education and Training  P-Tech 30 (9th grade)

      • Associate of Science Health Science P-Tech 30 (9th grade)

  • Manor Early College High School (MECHS): Liberal Arts & General Studies Spots Available: 

      • 9th - 150

      • 10th - 10

      • 11th - 10

      • 12th - 10

  • Manor New Tech High School (MNTHS): Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM Early College) Spots Available: 

      • 9th - 150

If more than the allotted number of scholars apply, a lottery will take place by January 21, 2024. All scholars, regardless of acceptance, will be notified of their status via SchoolMint after the lottery takes place. 

Scholars selected will have until 11:59 p.m. on January 26, 2024 to accept their selection offer in SchoolMint. If not accepted by that time, the seat will automatically be declined and given to the next person on the waiting list. Scholars who decline or do not accept their offer will not receive another offer from another campus. Scholars not selected will be placed on the waiting list for their selected campuses.

Attend our High School in-person School of Choice fair on November 15 from 6PM to 8PM at Manor Early College High School and our virtual Schools of Choice fair on November 29 from 6PM to 8PM These fairs will allow current 8th-grade students an opportunity to take a deeper look at our Schools of Choice and apply onsite.

Our in-person School Choice Fair for current 5th and 6th-grade students will be held on November 30 at Manor New Tech Middle School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Virtual Schools of Choice Fairs for Manor New Tech Middle School (MNTMS) and Manor Rise Academy (MRA) will be held on Dec. 4 from 6 PM. to 8 PM.
