Out-of-District Transfers

Out-of-District Transfer Information

  • Out-of-District Transfer Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be open for submission on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
  • Scholars  in grades K-12 may apply. We are not currently accepting applications for Pre-K out-of-district transfers
  • Submitting a transfer application does not guarantee its approval. 
  • A transfer application is not an enrollment application.
  • An Out-of-District Transfer is a request for non-Manor ISD residents to attend a Manor ISD school.  An Out-of-District Transfer Application is needed for non-Manor ISD residents who have accepted a seat via our Schools of Choice program.

 

Manor ISD's Out-of-District Transfer Policy

  • New scholars are required to complete an Out-of-District transfer application every year they are requesting a transfer. 
  • Current scholars who do not live within the Manor ISD attendance boundary must submit a new application each year per board policy.
  • Transfers are approved based on board policy.
  • Applications for an Out-of-District Transfer are available on Manor ISD's SchoolMint.
  • Applications must have requested attachments to be considered complete.
  • A transfer may be revoked during the school year if attendance, behavior, or academic expectations are no longer met.
  • The approval of a transfer is based on space availability, 90% attendance, passing grades for the semester or year, and no In-School Suspension (ISS), Out-of-School Suspension (OSS), Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP), or expulsion issues.
  • If the student transfers back to the school within the attendance zone they live in, they will be required to sit out for one year of varsity competition.
  • Manor ISD will notify parents when a transfer is approved, denied, or revoked.

 

Steps for Completing an Out-District Transfer

  1. Go to SchoolMint
  2. If you have already created an account, use your existing login account. If not, create an account as directed.
  3. Select MISD Transfer Application.
  4. Enter your student's information and campus request.
  5. If the student is new to Manor ISD, attach a copy of the student’s report card, attendance record, and behavior record from the current school. No additional documents are required if the student is currently attending Manor ISD.
