Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Therese Snider

Hello! My name is Therese Snider and I am a 4th grade ESL English Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies teacher. I am very excited to work at Manor ISD and especially at Lagos Elementary School!

I just moved back to Texas from New York City after 13 years and I am so happy to be jumping back into the classroom here in Austin, Texas! I recieved my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in 2005 and went on to teach third grade in Fort Worth, TX for two years. I then moved to NYC, met my husband, got married and was a stay at home mom for 4 years to my two children, Emma (11) and Grant (9). From 2015-2019 I was a preschool teacher in New York City while I pursued a masters in Early Childhood Education from CUNY Hunter College School of Education.

I have had many jobs in my life (from TV to candy weddings) and education is by far the most rewarding and fulfilling career. My classroom is a safe space where my students come together to learn and grow. My students develop empathy for others and learn about their own identities. All students are welcome, and we work to foster a truly inclusive community. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 4th grade and English as a Second Language.

If you have any questions or concerns at all, do not hestiate to contact me! I look forward to a wonderful year at Lagos Elementary!
