Special Education Offerings at MAP

  • Additional staff from the Home Campus may be required in order to implement a student’s IEP. This need will be determined by administrators before a student is assigned to MAP.

    A student whose removal constitutes a Change of Placement will continue to receive services to enable the child to progress toward meeting the goals set out in the scholar’s IEP.

    Each ARD Committee must determine the educational services to be provided while at MAP that will also allow the scholar to continue to receive FAPE and enable the scholar to continue to participate in the general education curriculum, although in another setting.

    All components of the IEP must follow the scholar. This includes but is not limited to: Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), Safety Plan, Crisis Plan, and Response Plan, Accommodations, and IEP Goals and Objectives.
