Coach Brian Marshall has been working in Education since 2006 and is excited to be a part of WAMM NATION. Brian was born and raised in Austin, TX and graduated from Reagan HS in 1999. He went on to play college football at Prairie View A&M University. Brian was a 3-year starter on the Offensive Line at Center, was chosen as a Team Captain, was selected to the NCAA Advisory Committee (Appointed by Head Coach for leadership, only 2 reps per sport), and was selected to the Coca-Cola Academic All-American 1st Team. Brian graduated from PVAMU with a 3.4 GPA and came back to Austin and began his career in Education. Coach Marshall has extensive experience coaching Football, Wrestling, Track and Field, Strength and Conditioning, and Basketball. Coach Marshall has been an Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator at several other schools prior to coming to Manor. Coach Marshall used to be the Receivers Coach and was also formerly responsible for calling offensive plays along-side Coach Don Howard for the Mustang Football team during the 2018 Bi-District Championship team and the 2019 historic season, which included a Bi-District Championship, Area Championship, Regional Semifinals Championship beating Cedar Park for the 1st time in Manor HS history, and a trip to the State Quarterfinals. Coach Marshall is no longer a part of play-calling duties for the 2020 season and was moved from WRs to TEs. Coach Marshall is also the Coach that facilitates the Manor High School FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and was named 2020-21 Central Texas FCA-Fellowship of Christian Athletes Coach of the Year. He has experience in teaching AVID, Communications, Health, Physical Education, Teen Leadership, Social Emotional Learning, Credit Recovery, and Special Education. Brian and his family live in Manor, his son Tyrek played football (starter on the 2019 State Quarterfinals team, 2nd Team All-District 107 Tackles, 2 INTs, 3 Sacks, 2FF, 2FR, and the winner of the 2019-20 Season WAMM NATION FIGHTING HEART AWARD) and graduated in 2020. Tyrek is enrolled at Texas Southern University and will be continuing his football career. Coach Marshall, his wife Tanisha, and daughters Debra and Angela enjoy being a part of this growing community.
