MANOR ISD IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR CLASSROOM SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
High School Diploma or GED:
- $120.00 a day for the first ten days
- $130.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day
- $130.00 a day for the first ten days
- $140.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day
- $160.00 a day for the first ten days
- $170.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day
RN:
- $160 a day for first ten days
- $170.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day
LVN:
- $130 a day for first ten days
- $140.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day
Certified Medical Assistant:
- $110.00 a day for first ten days
- $120.00 a day for the same assignment on the 11th day

Academic Tutors (Before/During/Afterschool):
- $30/hour (SBEC Certification)
- $25/hour (Bachelor's Degree or higher)
- $17/hour (Minimum of 24 hours of College Credits)

- Substitute Teaching Requirements: You must have a high school diploma or GED.
- RN & LVN – must have completed and maintained an applicable health care license.
- Educational assistant/associate or clerical support substitutes – must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check
- All selected applicants must complete a state mandated criminal background check according to TEA rules and guidelines. Applicants must pay $49.99 for the cost of the state mandated criminal background check. Details regarding the state mandated background check will be discussed at the substitute employee training session. Please note, substitutes cannot work until the state mandated background check has been completed. If fingerprints are needed, you will receive an e-mail from Identogo.
- Original proof of identity and employment eligibility (Social Security Card, Driver’s License, and Resident Card)
- A copy of your high school diploma, GED, or college transcript
- A copy of your teaching certificate (if applicable)
- Voided Check for Direct Deposit

Upcoming Substitute Orientations
Please complete the following to be considered to be a substitute:
Complete a Manor ISD Online Substitute Application. Once you apply, you will be invited to the next available orientation.

Applicants selected will be notified by e-mail of the date and time of the scheduled Substitute orientation. You will be asked, in the e-mail sent to you to sign up if you will attend the orientation. Future Substitute orientation dates will be posted on this page.
Substitute Document Requirements:
District policy requires that the following items and files be submitted to the Human Resources Department before substituting with Manor ISD. Once you have attended a substitute orientation and completed the fingerprint process you will receive an e-mail from Talent Ed to complete your paperwork on-line.
Documents needed for orientation:
- Original proof of identity and employment eligibility: Social Security Card, Driver License, work authorization (if applicable) and Resident Card (if applicable)
- A copy of your college transcripts
- Information regarding required documents for the event will be detailed in the invitation.

Manor ISD utilizes an automated system that will greatly simplify and streamline the process of recording absences and finding substitutes for classroom teachers. This service is called AESOP (Automated Educational Substitute Operator).
The AESOP system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Manor ISD employees may utilize the Aesop system on the internet or by way of a toll free automated voice instruction menu system at 1-800-94-AESOP (1-800-942-3767).
