Multi-Classroom Leader (MCL): the multi-classroom leader is typically a teacher with a record of high growth student learning and leadership competences. The MCL teaches part of the time and leads small, collaborative teams of 2-4 other teachers and paraprofessionals  in the same or similar grade level or subject.  The MCL organizes the team to review student progress and change instruction to ensure high progress learning for every child. The MCL is accountable for learning and development of all students taught by the team members. They provide feedback to the principal about the team’s development and support that may be needed.

Master Team Reach Teacher (MTRT): With guidance from the team’s MCL, the Master Team Reach Teacher (MTRT) plan and deliver instruction for multiple classes in a school where students rotate between face-to-face learning with the teacher and digital or offline learning supervised by a paraprofessional known as a Reach Associate. While one class of students is with a Reach Associate, the MTRT teaches another class of students, focusing on delivering personalized and enriched instruction. Each MTRT is responsible for co-planning, co-preparing, and delivering instruction, and co-monitoring student progress to determine instructional needs.

Team Reach Teacher (TRT): The Team Reach Teacher™ role serves on a Multi-Classroom Leader® team, directly teaching more students. Many or all teachers on these teams may serve in this role to extend reach collectively. The teacher co-plans, co-prepares, and delivers instruction, and co-monitors student progress to determine needs. They help build a strong tutoring culture through increased small-group instruction and tutoring, and along with the team leader, monitor the effectiveness of paraprofessionals’ small-group tutoring, recommending adjustments as needed. The teacher collaborates with others serving the same students or subjects to review progress and adjust instruction to ensure high-growth, enriched learning for every student. In elementary settings, this role may include subject specialization.

Reach Associate Role (RA): This is an advanced paraprofessional who provides release time and support for one or more Multi-Classroom Leader® teams. The paraprofessional provides that release time by instructing students in small groups or individually, supporting students while they work on projects, skills practice, and digital learning, and supporting the team on other non-instructional tasks.
