Early Childhood

The Manor ISD Early Childhood department provides support to help provide the best developmentally appropriate curriculum and environment for our youngest learners. We follow a research-based curriculum that helps to develop the whole child in preparing them to be ready for kindergarten and beyond. Children must be 4 years old prior to September 1st. PreK is an income-based program.Only families who qualify may enroll in PreK.

Mission

Our Early Childhood program provides access to a safe and accessible, high-quality early childhood education that includes a developmentally appropriate curriculum. We ensure that our program supports all children's health, nutrition, and social well-being, in an environment that respects and supports diversity that prepares our youngest learners for kindergarten.

Vision

Our Early Childhood program will ensure every child will be engaged in a loving, safe environment that supports independence, imagination, natural learning, and influences curiosity through play. By exposing our children to a variety of real-world experiences, problem-solving opportunities, and exposure to diverse cultures we can meet the needs of all our youngest learners as they enter Kindergarten.

Pre-K in Manor ISD

Manor ISD Pre-K offers a nurturing, challenging environment to prepare our students for the K-12 school career and beyond who qualify for services. The most critical years of learning for young children are from birth to five years of age. Pre-K gives students the chance to obtain skills for learning that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Manor ISD offers Pre-K for three (if eligible through Child Inc/Head Start) and four-year-old students.  Our PreK-3 program is offered in partnership with Child Inc/Head Start. Every Pre-K class is taught by a Texas Certified Teacher and supported by a teaching assistant.

Pre-K classrooms follow the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and use a research-based curriculum. Pre-K academic lessons take on an integrative approach that offer opportunities for social interaction and purposeful play.

For questions about Pre-K, please contact your campus registrar.
