Local Mental Health Supports

Integral Care- 24/7 Help www.integralcare.org 512.472.HELP (4357). Travis County local mental health authority. Provides a variety of mental health, IDD, and case management services.

Austin Child Guidance Center- www.austinchildguidance.org 512-451-2242. The mission of the Austin Child Guidance Center is to provide accessible high-quality mental health services to children and their families empowering them to thrive in childhood and beyond.

Capital Area Counseling- www.cacaustin.org 512-302-1000. Low cost, high quality no session limit therapy. Offering individual and couples counseling and group therapy.

The Samaritan Center- www.samaritan-center.org 512-451-7337. To talk to a veteran 512-466-4454. Crisis hotline 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Services include: mental health counseling for children, adolescents, adults and families; integrative medicine including acupuncture, tai chi, nutrition counseling as well as Chinese and Western herbal medicine; telemental health; peer support services; pastoral counseling; and wellness education for communities, schools, churches, and organizations.

NAMI Central Texas is a member of the largest grassroots mental health organzation in the United States, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Through innovative education, support, and advocacy programs, we are changing the way our community address mental health. In order to change the conversation around mental health, we must all learn the facts about mental illness and work to break down the barriers to treatment and support.

 

Grief and Loss Supports

A non-profit, free of charge, The Christi Center provides programs and peer support services to children, adults, and family members for as long as it is needed. As the only free grief support in the Greater Austin Area, we offer a safe space to grieve and heal.

Wonders and Worries- www.wondersandworries.org 512-329-5757. Wonders and Worries ensures that children and teenagers can reach their full potential, despite a parent's serious illness. We're in this together.

The Austin Center for Grief and Loss- www.austingrief.org 512.472.7878. We are a non-profit organization focused on grief and trauma with the mission to assist children and adults as they move from loss to life, transforming their grief through therapy, support, education, training and consultation.
