Lisa Kutsch serves Manor ISD as the Advanced Academics Coordinator. In this role, she leads the development of rigorous and innovative instructional materials for all teachers. In addition, she supports Gifted and Talented, Project-Based Learning, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, UIL Academics, and serves as the AVID District Director.
Lisa earned a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin where she was also in the UTEACH teacher certification program. Lisa earned two Master of Education degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Education Administration from Concordia University.
Lisa has 14 years of education experience in the Central Texas area, specifically Austin ISD, Lockhart ISD, and Manor ISD. Her experience includes teaching all levels of mathematics from 7th grade to AP Statistics. At Manor High School, Lisa served as the math department chair for three years. In addition, she has presented multiple sessions at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) and Austin Area Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference (AACTM).
Prior to her role as the Advanced Academics Coordinator, Lisa worked as the Secondary Math Coordinator for 5 years with the Curriculum & Instruction Department. Lisa has also been the Academic Liaison for After School Programs, bringing her deep knowledge of instructional standards to the improvement and development of academics in the ACE program.
In her downtime, Lisa enjoys spending time with her two young sons and husband. She loves to scuba dive, travel, and garden. She is a two-time cancer fighter and survivor.
