The district is excited to announce that Applied Materials has approved grants to help fund five programs at Manor ISD. The grants total $63,000 for the 2017-18 school year, and will help fund:
-Manor ISD's iFly Project Based Learning initiative: $15,000

-Building Family Engagement to support parent trainings: $8,000
-UT SPURS Program at Manor New Tech High School: $8,000
-Books in Every Classroom (Oak Meadows Elementary and Presidential Meadows Elementary): $25,000
"Through the leadership of Applied Materials Global Affairs Manager Michele Walker-Moak, countless Manor ISD initiatives and non-profit services have been funded for the past 18 years," said MISD Director of Student and Family Support Services Becky Lott. "Applied Materials also promotes volunteerism of their employees. This support has led to positive outcomes and the advancement of student academic achievement."
Thank you Applied Materials, and all of our other community partners, for providing resources to help make Manor ISD a destination district!
