Students at Presidential Meadow finally got to see their hard work pay off on Friday before Christmas.
Manor ISD Superintendent visited the children Friday morning to thank them for raising the most money during the district's Aransas Pass ISD Donation Drive, which was held from September to November. PME raised $686. 29. The money raised throughout the district went to our friends at APISD, who are still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. Donations are going towards school supplies, household essentials, and more.
As part of the fundraiser, Dr. Avery promised to take a pie in the face from students of the winning school. The Eagle Kindergarten class raised the most money of all the grades, and one student had the chance to pie Dr. Avery.
ShadowGlen Elementary came in second with $600 raised.
