Manor ISD hired two new Executive Directors during November's regularly scheduled board meeting Monday night.
Dr. Nathan Balasubramanian was hired as the Executive Director for School Improvement and Accountability. Dr. Balasubramanian comes to Manor ISD from Florida, where he served as the Executive Director for Strategy and Continuous Improvement for Broward County Public Schools, the 6th largest school district in the country. Prior to that, Dr. Balasubramanian was the Director of School Accountability/Accreditation for the Thompson School District in Colorado. He received his Master's of Science in Physics from Loyola College in Madras, India and a Master's in Educational Management from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Dr. Balasubramanian received his Ph.D in Educational Leadership & Innovation from the University of Colorado in Denver.
Michael Perkins, who previously held the role in Manor ISD, is now the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the district.
Dr. Pat Curry was hired as the Executive Director of Special Programs. Dr. Curry comes to Manor ISD after serving two years as a School Improvement Consultant with the Texas Education Agency. Dr. Curry's career also includes various roles for Cleveland ISD, Conroe ISD, and Katy ISD. She received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as a Master's in Educational Administration and Supervision and a Master's in Counseling from the University of Houston. Dr. Curry received her Bachelor's Degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.
