Dr. Christopher Harvey will head Manor Alternative Program (MAP) as its principal for the 2017-18 school year. Manor ISD Superintendent Dr. Royce Avery made the announcement at the Board of Trustees meeting Monday.
Dr. Harvey has been with Manor ISD since 2009. Within the district, he has served as AVID program director at Decker Middle, principal at Manor Excel Academy and MAP, College and Career Readiness coordinator, and district coordinator for Academic Interventions. Dr. Harvey has most recently served as the director of Federal & State Programs for Manor ISD.
Dr. Harvey earned his doctorate at Mary Hardin-Baylor University, his master’s in educational administration from Concordia University, and his bachelor’s in social work from Texas State University.
Dr. Harvey said he is looking to continue successes established by previous MAP principals, as well as connect MAP to more campuses and district department.
