Meet Dr. Robert Sormani

Dr. Robert Sormani started his career in education in 1999 as a teacher at J. Frank Dobie Middle School in Austin ISD. After five years of teaching, he became an assistant principal in Austin ISD and Round Rock ISD before being named principal of Chisholm Trail Middle School in Round Rock ISD. He served that community for almost nine years before being named the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Manor ISD. Before being named Manor ISD Superintendent in 2023, he was the Associate Superintendent for Instruction and Innovation at Hutto ISD. 

Dr. Sormani is a three-time degree earner from the University of Texas at Austin, receiving a Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration in 2016, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2006, and a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in History in 1997. He holds teaching certificates for Secondary History and ELA and a Superintendency Certificate. 

Dr. Sormani has been happily married to Diana Sormani for almost 20 years, and together they have three children. Diana and Robert are avid runners, enjoy traveling, and are always up for a new adventure. While Dr. Sormani is a lifelong Texan hailing from Houston, Diana grew up on US Air Force bases in Europe. They are both excited to live in the Manor area near Diana's parents and just down Highway 290 from Dr. Sormani's family in Houston.
