Degrees and Certifications:
I got my Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University and began my teaching career in 2008. I taught for six years in an elementary school, mostly with 4th graders. I got my Master's in Educational Leadership in 2013 from Concordia University and moved into an Instructional Coach position for two years. I got my first assistant principal job in Temple ISD at an elementary school in 2016 for three years. After that, I moved up to Lamar Middle School in Temple and transferred to Manor Middle School in February 2020. I moved into the Associate Principal position in July 2020 and have been a proud Pony ever since.
I am a proud mom of three children that have now all officially graduated from high school as of May 28, 2022. I have a loving husband who supports me in all of my goals and currently supports me as I begin year two of my doctoral program. In my spare time, I love to travel and spend time with my family.
As we begin this 22/23 school year, I am humbled at the experience of being the Interim Principal of this wonderful school. I will focus on building a community of learners that promote student agency and collaboration with their peers through Project/Problem Based Learning. I look forward to supporting the academic, social and emotional growth of your scholars. As a New Tech community, we will work hard to provide the highest quality education for your scholars that supports continuous growth into their promising future.
