Ms. Turner enjoys teaching sixth grade. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree with a minor in Sociology from Lamar University-Beaumont, TX. She earned her Texas Teaching Certificate in 1997. The 2020-2021 school year marks Ms. Turner’s fourteenth year as a Texas Educator. Of those fourteen years, she served four years as a Campus Technologist with another Texas school district. Before returning to Texas and education, Ms. Turner worked as a Probation Officer with the state of Georgia, and has served as a Senior Technical Advisor and Mentor with Apple. 

Ms. Turner has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., since 1991. With many career experiences, Ms. Turner understands and supports the importance of learning differences and education. She values service, time with family, meditating, nature, the three T’s (travel, tennis, television) and baking pies.
