• Isabella Locklear Hellllooooo!

My name is Isa Locklear! Last year was my first official year teaching, although I've been volunteering and working in schools my entire life. This year will be my second year with PCE and first year fully in person!

I was born in Laredo, TX and my family moved back and forth between there and Austin my whole life. My mother is an incredible, astounding teacher and I have looked up to her my entire life. Since I was a part of the 'Tomorrow's Teachers' club in 4th grade, I knew that I was born to teach, just like my mama!

In 2015 I decided to move to Tacoma, Washington for school at the University of Puget Sound. There, I worked toward an English degree with a minor in Education, and I had cherished experiences in schools that made me a better person and better educator.

When I graduated in 2019, I moved back home to Austin to work toward my goal of becoming a certified teacher. I began my graduate school career at Texas State University and I am currently still taking classes to hopefully graduate with my Masters of Education in the summer of 2022. Wish me luck!

I cannot express how truly elated I am to be embarking on this journey with you and your little scholars. I absolutely love kindergarten!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all this year! It is sure going to be one we will never forget.

    Much love!!

    Ms. Locklear
