Dr. Malaki Hawkins
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an educator! My parents were military, so we had the opportunity to live in places like Panama City, Canal Zone, Germany, San Antonio and my hometown of Fort Hood, home of the largest military base in Texas!
I am the first in my family to graduate from college, as both of my parents were high school dropouts. I have been married for 25 years and my husband and I have two beautiful children, Noah 21, a senior in college and Niya 17, a senior in high school.
I graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1996 and a Masters degree in Education in 2003 from Southwest Texas State University. I completed the Doctoral program at the University of Southern Mississippi in June, 2023. I have spent the last twenty-seven years in education. I love building connections and watching people grow. Watching my students achieve their success and grow inspires me to continue teaching.
I always have room for growth and I want to continue with various professional development opportunities. It is my desire to provide Manor ISD with a resourceful instructional educator who has a vision for teaching and learning and equity for all students. I am proud to continue serving the Manor ISD community.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
