The Texas Open Meetings Act (“OMA” or “the Act”), Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, requires governmental bodies, including school boards, to provide advance written notice to the public of all its meetings. The notice must include the date, hour, place, and subjects scheduled to be considered either in open or closed session of each meeting. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.041.
