Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Antwainette Hargis-Booe

Dear Decker Elementary Dolphin Family,

It is with great pride, enthusiasm, and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Decker Elementary School. I am honored to be in this position, and looking forward to working with Mr. Cauman, as well as the rest of our Decker staff in helping our students’ level up!

I have spent much of my professional career working with elementary school students and the last four years with middle school students. I was an elementary teacher in Austin Independent School District for 12 years, and the past four years I have been in Manor Independent School District. I served one year as a special education teacher and the last three years I was an Instructional Coach at Decker Middle School. It’s an exciting opportunity to grow and be able to continue my work in the Decker Corridor.

My decision to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the Assistant Principal, I will work diligently with our faculty and staff to carry out the mission of Decker Elementary School. I believe that as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. I am committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our children achieve their full potential and are prepared for their next phase of their education career. I look forward to being a part of the Dolphin family and being “all hands on deck! (er).”

I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you in person. If throughout the course of the year you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact via email or phone. I can be reached at .

Wishing you and your family a safe and healthy school year.
