Hello BTE family! I am the Assistant Principal of Bluebonnet Trail Elementary School, an A rated campus and a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Program. The purpose of BTE is to create a successful environment where ALL students grow emotionally and academically, so that they can become successful adults. This purpose mirrors my philosophy of education.

I recognized my passion for becoming an educator at the age of eleven years old. This inspiration came from my sixth grade teacher and great aunt. Not to mention, my love and compassion for babysitting younger cousins, working at summer camps, and just being the bossy little sister and daughter (that's the teacher in me.)

This is my fifteenth year in education. I am an Austin Native, high school graduate of Lyndon Baines Johnson High School. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Huston-Tillotson University. I taught at Campbell Elementary School in AISD for nine years. While at Campbell, I returned to school and received my Master's Degree in Education Administration at Concordia University.

In 2015, I joined the BTE family as an Instructional Coach. I served in this position for two and a half years. In January of 2017, I became the Assistant Principal at BTE. It is with great pleasure, I have the privilege to serve students, teachers, and families of the BTE community. Always a Ranger!

I grew up in St.Louis Mo. and received my Bachelors degree in physical education and taught middle school in Tampa Florida. I then moved to were my family is now Texas and taught Kindergarten in a small private school. While working there I received my Master's in School Counseling and Guidance at Texas State.

2019-2020 will be my 14 year at Bluebonnet Trail Elementary at Manor ISD. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote academic, personal, social and emotional development in all of our students. I look forward to offering support to all of our students, staff, families and communities. I support every classroom by meeting with each one once a month to teach positive IB/Character education traits. I also meet with individuals and small groups of students during their lunch. I meet with parents, collaborate with teachers, and consult with our community organization to benefit the needs of our students and families.

I am excited to be serving our Ranger families and team!
