Ms. Kris Muehling- Principal

Kristina Muehling is excited to join the Bluebonnet Trail Elementary School family as our new school principal. Ms. Muehling began her educational career teaching special education in Indiana before moving to Austin in 2008. She served students as an elementary school teacher in Round Rock ISD and Austin ISD for 10 years, teaching special education, first and fourth grades. She then became an assistant principal at Austin ISD, a position she held for four years. Ms. Muehling then had the honor of leading the Bryker Woods Elementary School community, where she served as the school principal for three years. She joined the Manor ISD community as an Instructional Coach in April 2022 after spending time at home with her young children. Ms. Muehling is excited to begin her new journey as the proud principal of Bluebonnet Trail Elementary.

Mr. Joseph Sumpter - Assistant Principal

I grew up in Houston, and I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Hook Em' Horns! This is my 6th year working in education and I just moved back to the Austin area from Las Angeles where I was the Dean of Restorative Practices at my previous school. I am incredibly excited to join Manor ISD and I greatly look forward to forming relationships with the families in this community.

Ms. Christy Dempsey- Counselor

My name is Christy Dempsey and I graduated from Texas Tech University (wreck em) in 199 with my bachelor's in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in Mathematics and earned my Masters Degree in EI dication in 2018 in Guidance Counselor. This is my 22nd year in education. I taught grades K-8 the first 18 years in Art, Computers, 2nd grade self-contained, 6th-grade self-contained, Kindergarten 5-8th grade math, 6th grade Social Studies, and for the last 3 and a half years I have been an elementary school counselor and a special education K-12 school counselor, I have a son named Tucker that will be going into 8th grade. I am very musical, so I relate many things to music and have played the violin since I was 4 and even played professionally for a year after graduating from high school in 1994. in my spare time I love to go see live music, sing karaoke and spend time hanging out with my son | love working with children and helping them to be future leaders, providing them with the opportunity to be successful and feel welcome and safe lam so excited to be a part of the Rangers family an forward to meeting all my wonderful students and staff
