Manor Elementary Early Learning Center

Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Walton's page!

I am super excited to be a part of the Manor Early Education Learning Center!  This is my fourth year in Manor ISD as an Early Childhood Teacher.  I have worked in education for the last 19 years.  I was in special education for 15 out of the 19 years and I worked in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout my career in special education.

Before entering in the field of education, I worked as a migrant worker and lived in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. After working as a migrant worker for many years, I decided to return to college.  I worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Civil Office for about 5 years and not too long after that became a Deaf Support Specialist/Interpreter. I then decided to earn my Masters in Education and become a teacher. I have worked in many districts in my career, but Manor stands out among other districts because it cares about families and the community. I am extremely happy and proud to be a part of a district that cares not only for families, but also for its teachers.  You Rock Manor!

¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos a la página de la Maestra Walton!

¡Estoy muy emocionada de ser parte de Manor Early Education Learning Center! Este es mi tercer año en Manor ISD como maestra de educación primaria. He trabajado en educación durante los últimos 19 años. Estuve en educación especial durante 15 de los 19 años como educadora especial y trabajé en escuelas primarias, intermedias y secundarias a lo largo de mi carrera en educación especial.

Antes de ingresar a la carrera de educación, trabajé como trabajadora migrante y viví en Florida, Georgia y Virginia. Después de trabajar como trabajadora migrante durante muchos años, decidí regresar a la universidad. Trabajé para la Oficina Civil del Ministro de Justicia de los Estados Unidos por aproximadamente 5 años. Poco después, me convertí en Especialista / Intérprete de apoyo para las personas que tienen dificultades en oír y hablar. Paso el tiempo y decidí obtener mi Maestría en Educación y convertirme en maestra. Les puedo decir que he trabajado en muchos distritos en mi carrera, pero Manor es diferente entre otros distritos porque apoya a las maestras,  familias y la comunidad. Estoy muy feliz y orgullosa de ser parte de un distrito que ayuda no solo a las familias sino también a todos los maestros. ¡You Rock Manor!
