Mrs. Garcia

Mrs. Garcia has been teaching elementary and preschool children since 2003 in various school districts in South and Central Texas. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and has studied both the Kodaly and Orff Schulwerk philosophies of music education. Mrs. Garcia has twice been named teacher of the month, both at Presidential Meadows Elementary and at Manor Elementary Early Learning Center. Many of the centers and instruments students enjoy at MEELC come from grants received by Ms. Garcia through the Manor Schoolhouse Foundation, the Texas Music Educators Association, and DonorsChoose.org. She enjoys hiking, yoga, singing in the Chorus Austin Chamber Ensemble and spending time with her two dogs and two children.
