The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines a student’s eligibility for State and Federal aid administered by a college or university.

Students who are U.S. citizens or non-U.S. citizens with a valid Social Security number are eligible to complete the FAFSA.

The Texas Application for Federal Student Aid (TASFA) determines a student’s eligibility for State and/or institutional aid administered by a college or university.

Students who are non-U.S. citizens are eligible to complete the TASFA.
