Degrees and Certifications:

Samuel Cauman

Dear Decker Elementary Community,

I am thrilled to be back in the Decker Corridor. I began my educational career in the Manor Independent School District in 2009, teaching English to seventh graders at Decker Middle School. After six amazing years in the classroom, I attained my master’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin and began my administrative work as an Assistant Principal, first at Decker Middle School, before continuing at Manor High School, and then on to Manor Senior High School. To be able to serve as principal at Decker Elementary School is a dream come true.

As principal, my role is to ensure that our Decker Dolphins continue to be part of a thriving academic community that accepts nothing but the best. All students are born learners, and it is our job and privilege to provide them with a platform for success both inside and outside the classroom. Our incredible Decker staff focuses on engaging students in critical thinking and problem solving, while supporting the development of strong interpersonal skills.

Decker Elementary School serves a diverse population of learners, and I believe strongly in the positive outcomes of our bilingual and fine arts programs. Students in our bilingual program learn in both English and Spanish, becoming multi-lingual learners, while our Fine Arts Academy provides students with the opportunity to explore their creative talents in music, art, dance and so much more.

Decker Elementary School is part of a vibrant community, and we welcome and encourage the partnership of school and community as critical to the ongoing academic and social success of our students.

It is an honor to serve as principal of Decker Elementary School, where we do our best and nothing less!

Best regards,

Samuel Cauman
