On April 5, 2022, the Manor ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2022-23 Academic Calendar. The new calendar will allow for Manor ISD to receive additional funding to provide enriched learning opportunities and accelerated instruction that addresses summer loss for our scholars. This funding is a part of the Additional Days School Year (ADSY) program. The district is working on options to provide food and child care services for non-instructional weekdays. We are also seeking partnerships for after-school programs. More information will be provided as additional services are made available.
On June 16, 2021, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 4545 (HB4545) during the 87th Legislative Session. This law required school districts to provide additional accelerated instruction for scholars who did not take or “did not meet grade level” on the STAAR or STAAR end-of-course assessment in Spring 2021.
