E-Mail & Network Access (Systems Services) Manor provides network access accounts for over 6,000 students and nearly 1,000 staff members. Email accounts are provided to all staff and multiple applications use the Active Directory LDAP system for access to web-based applications and systems. |

Network Security (Network Services) Sophos Antivirus is the District's desktop and server antivirus software application. Barracuda is selected appliance used to prevent SPAM and email viruses from entering the District's Exchange email system. Barracuda was installed in May 2006 and has since blocked over 35,000.000 SPAM and virus messages (50,000 daily average). Cisco's ASA 5520 provides firewall and VPN services to Manor ISD. |

Desktop Management (Systems Services) As an additional component to Active Directory, Group Policies provide desktop management and security policies to secure each users desktop environment. Manor ISD has also purchased PolicyMaker (now integrated with Windows Server 2008) and BeyondTrust Privilege Manager to enhance desktop security and eliminate the need to provide full administrative access to users for basic application and feature access. |

Internet and Networking (Network Services)
The District has upgraded to a 30MB Internet connection through AT&T's OPT-E-Man service for the 2008-09 school year. Each campus has a dedicated private or leased fiber connection. 60% of the District's infrastructure is provided by a private fiber network with 2GB etherchannel connections. 20% of the District has a 1GB GigaMan connection while three elementary schools are connected through AT&T's OPT-E-Man connection at 500MB. |

Data and Information (Information Services)
IS supports all critical data requests for campuses and departments. All PEIMS reporting is supported by IS. Yearly submission and reporting information is prepared by IS. Aside from PEIMS, IS supports ad-hoc data needs for any all state mandated applications and federal funding requests. |

Application Support (Information Services)
IS is also responsible for ensuring the data in applications is consistent and available for application use. FitnessGram, Transfinder, Accelerated Reader, Aesop, and SkillPoint alliance are examples of applications and partners that use MISD data to help the District and community. |

Voice and Video (Network Services)
MISD supports nearly 1000 Cisco Voice over IP telephones across 11 campuses and department facilities. MISD is also currently seeking a solution that will allow for viewing of stored and live video broadcasts over IP networks. |

Proficiency & Integration (Integration Services)
The Instructional Technology Coordinator holds a series of professional development courses focused on increasing the technical competencies of the staff in MISD. Applications such as Kidspiration, Inspiration, Pixie, Webblender, and Discovery United Streaming help bring technology into daily curriculum and instruction. |

Video Security (Network Services)
Manor ISD has selected LenSec, LLC to secure secondary schools. LenSec has installed nearly 300 security cameras across Manor High School and both Middle School campuses. Each campus server is capable of storing over two weeks of archived footage and is accessible by campus and district administrators. Manor New Technology High School's project is scheduled to being in May 2009. |
