A Message from the Principal
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at the most superb school in Manor ISD - Presidential Meadows Elementary. I am so proud to be the principal of such a superb school, with exceptional eagle parents, students, staff, and community.
I would like to take a quick moment to inform you of some changes that have taken place in my life. First of all, for personal reasons, I have changed my last name to Bowens Brown. Should you need to contact me, feel free to email me at tara.bowens-brown@manorisd.net. Secondly, I am an extremely proud first time mother to my amazing son – AJ! Now being a new mother and returning principal to PME, I feel honored and very blessed to be surrounded by such a loving environment and community that I can call family.
I am originally from East Texas, and born and raised in the small town of Rusk. I received my Associate of Science in Elementary Education from Jacksonville Baptist College, my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Texas at Tyler, and my Master’s of Arts in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have 5 years worth of teaching experience and am beginning on my seventh year in administration.
My goal at PME is to create a partnership with staff and parents to meet the challenges of learning and life for students, as they make the transition from elementary to junior high. We strive for continued partnerships throughout the school, families, and community. This partnership is one that thrives on communication, dedication, and hard work. You as a parent/guardian are an invaluable resource to us as we strive to provide a quality learning experience for the students of Presidential Meadows. As a parent/guardian of a child who will graduate in the twenty-first century, you justifiably have high expectations of your child and his/her school, and so do we.
Here at PME, we are committed to providing diverse instruction that nurtures the academic, emotional, physical, social, and creative abilities of all students in a safe environment based on honesty and mutual respect enduring that “No Child is Left Behind.”
When I’m not “Soaring for the Exemplary Stars” at Presidential Meadows, I enjoy spending time with my new family and friends, reading, traveling, and decorating.
We earnestly solicit your goodwill and cooperation as we work to soar to success at Presidential Meadows Elementary and invite you to visit our campus. Our doors are always open to you and your comments and/or suggestions.
Last but not least I want to say, welcome to the most superb school in Manor ISD where we are soaring to exemplary!
Sincerely,
Tara Bowens Brown |
