High school student

ACC admissions criteria; international students not eligible for tuition/fees waiver

THEA

Do not need to take THEA while in highschool; need not have passed TAAS to take classes

 

Must pass all sections of exit level TAAS. Must pass THEA sections needed for classes, unless enrolled in THEA – waived program

Note – Standards for TAKS for exempting THEA have not been set.

Course load

As needed to complete high school graduation requirements

C or better to receive dual credit; can receive ACC credit for a D (a grade of D will seldom transfer)

High school faculty meet college workforce qualifications

College faculty meet SACS requirements, but need not be certified for high school

Enrolls at ACC while in high school; completes course(s); sends college transcript to high school
