“STRONG SCHOOLS, STRONG COMMUNITIES”

The district is grateful to all the volunteers who have contributed to the success of our students.

Every child needs support of their parents, their school, and their community to succeed. The Manor Independent School District’s Volunteer Program creates many opportunities for individuals to partner; and we welcome you to share your time, talents, and become actively involved in the district.

This list of volunteer opportunities includes but aren’t limited to the following:

  • Mentor or Tutor
  • Help in your child’s classroom
  • Become a Chess Partner
  • Expand library resources
  • Help in the school office
  • Support special projects
  • Serve on a committee
  • Coach college entrance exams
  • Help students apply for college
  • Be a guest speaker
  • Host faculty and staff interns
  • Judge academic competitions
  • Sponsor scholarships
  • Provide technical resources

Why should you become a Volunteer?

  • Make a positive impact in the life of a child
  • Become an involved community member
  • Prepare students for lifelong opportunities

How do I become a Volunteer or Mentor?

  • The first step is to click on this on-line application and set-up a user ID.
  • The next step will be to log-in and select the Volunteer Form to complete.
  • Please note that the form has multiple pages and should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to you when your application is submitted.
  • After your background check is successfully completed, the Student and Family Support Services staff will match your expertise, interests, and skills with staff requests for volunteers.
